The University of Alaska: Extraordinary Partners

Since the early planning for 360 North, the University of Alaska system has been a key strategic programming partner.

At 360 North, our strategy has been to provide as much interesting information about Alaska and the North to our audience as possible. As a leader in education, research and public discourse, UA offers a litany of public events and presentations across the state. And, system-wide their cooperation has made these offerings available to all Alaskans on 360 North.

The following list represents the current programs that 360 North is able to offer through our relationship with various University of Alaska units and campuses. And, the list illustrates why we consider The University of Alaska to be our program partner of the year. We thank president Hamilton and everyone within the UA system for their cooperation and support.

Alaska Film Archives Televison Series - Elmer E. Rasmuson Library, UAF

Science for Alaska Lectures - Geophysical Institute, UAF

Evening at Egan and UAShowcase Programs - UAS

Alaska College Track 2 and the Alaska College Track Town Meeting - UAS

The Discovering Alaska Lecture Series - Summer Sessions, UAF

ISER: Brown Bag Lunch - ISER, UAA (coming soon)

Public Televison Documentaries - KUAC-TV, UAF

Safety at Sea and other programs - Marine Advisory Program, SeaGrant, UAF

We also have a few new cooperative projects in the works with UA for 2008. Watch 360 North for the above listed programs that are currently, or soon will be, on the air. Watch the 360 North BLOG for information about things to come.
