For a fair debate. Yes especially after Ted has been convicted) please allow independant candidate for senate Bob Bird into the debates.
Now more than ever we need a chance to hear our choices when we hit the voting booth. PLEASE, for freedom.

Huh? You're going to allow the convicted felon a platform on public tv but not Bob Bird??? If you do not include Bob Bird I will lose my faith in public broadcasting to be unbiased and objective, and probably pull my support for local public tv and radio. I have supported public broadcasting for over a decade so I am not taking this snub lightly.

wow, you are right!. I never even thought of that angle. Why wouldn't a public broadcasting entity involve all the candidates? Why?
they are for and by us. We support them.
Please invite all candidates to the forum! please.

I second (or third?) K's and R's desire to see Bob Bird in this debate. I was planning to vote for Uncle Ted, mostly to keep Begich out. But I cannot in good conscience do that. I am now seriously considering Bob Bird. I'd like to hear from him. I count on public broadcasting to bring me all of the candidates, not just cherry-picked "major" candidates (especially when one of them is now a convict!).

That sort of behavior may be acceptable for private corporately controlled broadcasting, but surely not for public broadcasting.

For PUBLIC TV to exclude all qualified candidates ought to be some sort of FCC-reportable offense. I may investigate that, if KTOO refuses to include Bob Bird.

Please, KTOO, do the right thing and get Bob Bird up on that stage with Begich and Stevens. It's only the right thing to do.

Concerned American Citizen wants to know why Bob Bird, a true defender of the Constitution, has been purposely omitted from this debate? Yet a convicted felon is graciously granted the stage. This is a scary time we are living in today. KTOO - tV please do the RIGHT thing and contact Bob Bird today and invite him to participate in this debate tonight!

Tired of the injustice of the Media,

Let's have a real U.S. Senate debate, shall we? One that pertains to issues, not sparring over style. The most reliable means of accomplishing this is to include Bob Bird in the debate. I have often witnessed how the inclusion of Libertarian candidates draws the Republican and Democrat into the discussion of where they stand on policy issues, which is what the viewers really need to hear in making up their mind who to vote for.

What the hell?? Is this cable TV?? no.. its public broadcasting ... some say it is the last vestige of non-corrupt television left on earth.. yet ..for some reason.. You are having a now FELON and not a great Alsakan conservative?? WHY NOT?? Bob Bird is obviously a worthwhile oponent, and die hard conservative who would do Alaska proud. I mean how obvious does it need to be?? I was surprised to find others feel the same as me on this forum.....The question is ARE YOU LISTENING??? If you need to verify that he is a good candidate to have on the debates pleas go here http://www.birdforsenate.com/
Thanks for listening..

Joe A. Dartmouth
AND PS.. If you do not get him on.. I will serioulsy reconsider my annual donation to this station.

I do hope after all of the feedback that you are getting about including Bob Bird in the debate that you will do just that. If not out of fairness, do it to see your rating soar.

for a fair debate, i hope you will include bob bird in your debate.

Maybe the State of Alaska should look closer at funding "Public TV" and “Public Radio”
If KTOO is going to present a debate of any kind ALL candidates should be invited. I for one am pulling my annual donation to KTOO. I am finally tired of all sides not being fairly represented.

I believe that it is actually YOUR DUTY as a PUBLIC TELEVISION STATION to include Mr. Bird in your debate. Afterall, you have included the known felon, Ted Stevens. Please let WE THE PEOPLE have a chance to decide who would be best for the great state of Alaska. Thank you.

Shame on you KTOO. Deleting a candidate from the 3ed largest party in Alaska. I have always appreciated Public Television allowing alternate views to be aired. But this exclusion of Mr. Bird is CENSORSHIP plain and simple, and I will no longer support Alaska One, and will encourage my family and friends to do likewise.

I'm sick and tired of the same blah, blah, blah between the D's and the R's. Let's get some fresh voices and ideas in this debate. Like say... Bob Bird

it is almost UNBELIEVABLE that we go and start wars to promote and setup DEMOCRACY in other countries and our own house is censored in this manner.
In Alaska even where a majority of registered voters are Independents!.
Get Bob Bird in the debate.

What a disservice to Alaska not to include Bob Bird. Ron Paul has endorsed him, and in light of Ted's convictions... well come on. Go BoB!

I am voting Bob Bird!!!!! forget this lame debate. We don't need to tune in! BOB BIRD!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I cannot believe that Ron Paul endorsed Bob Bird is not in on this debate. I won't be listening.

I am voting Bob Bird. This debate is useless.

Please include Bob Bird in the Senate debate. Considering the conviction of Stevens and my distaste for Begich, I think this is only fair and proper for your viewers. Thank you.

WHERE IS BOB BIRD?

BOB BIRD IS RUNNING!

Why is it that the only candidates who seem to have any integrity are also the same ones who are refused a voice in the debate?

Someday soon the media is going to realize that more and more of us are seeing through their games everyday. REAL Change is in the air.

Bob Bird for Senate!

I would like to watch these debates before I vote (likely later today), and I expected I would be able to watch them here on your website. I cannot find them anywhere. Why not? They seem to be much more important than some of the other video posted here. I appreciate the fact that you hosted the debates, but that doesn't do much good if I can't see them.
